What!?! Pyramids in Goris, Armenia?
Several pyramid-shaped
objects are visually identified in Goris area, which is one of the oldest
settlements in Armenia, and as it is believed that such pyramids might not be
survived in their clear and original shapes and structures due to various external
factors, such as climate and seasonal variations, earthquakes, wars, clashes of
different dominant cultures through the pace of history, extensive population
migrations, etc., this findings can be has has reached to as as pyramids from
the deep bottoms of the centuries of B.C.
In view of the above,
the pictures of the first pyramid are presented below without any imposing
commentary, and let the followers of this blog and others interested in these
multidisciplinary subject form their own opinions on whether these are pyramids stemming
from the ancient times or not!
This particular pyramid has been visited during the several seasons of the year in order to see it both during the wintertime, where there is no camouflaging nature on it, and also during the spring time, in order to make different comparisons. In the wintertime, when there is no grass coverage and also the snow is starting melting by turning the ground into mud, one can even notice some stone-rows, which might have been integrated by the nature during the millenniums, but still remind some interesting yet mythical structures, either made by the mankind or by the nature!
Below are also the
pictures of the same pyramid taken during the spring/summer time. All the
assumptions are left on the followers of this blog, whether this is pyramid or
not...
The local people live
next to it and see this amazing view during their everyday life! It would have
been amazing to find out that this geometrically shaped structure, which
one can easily see in their neighborhood, actually is a mythical pyramid!
The picture below shows
the ruins/remains of some three columns as caves, which might have served as the
entrance of the pyramids.
It is
worth to mention that since Armenia's area is very mountainous with lots of
hills and peaks, it might also be the situations that in certain cases the
pyramids take one or two of the main standing walls from the nature and other
walls are being the man-made ones. Similarly, in order to be as high as
possible and “closer to the skies”, the foundation of the pyramid is taken the
peak of the hill, where the basis of the pyramid is constructed. This is a general
approach that has been widely used in fortress making practices in the
mountainous regions in the past, and why shouldn't be the case for the
pyramids, too?
And as a final note for this posting, here are some satellite images of the aforesaid pyramid in Goris and in neighboring areas.
